  1. Hi, YWEANG, thank you for starting this new thread and thanks for sharing the stats. I applied for U of T's two-year MSW program last year and got wait listed. My background is different but I have been trying to gain related experience as a volunteer and have been reading books and articles. I am going to apply again this year. Good luck to everyone!
  2. Congratulations! I just got a rejection letter from Windsor.=(
  3. I opened my letter this morning and learned that I have been waitlisted for U of T's two-year MSW, I am pretty excited as this is my first time applying . I have been expecting a rejection letter after I read about how competitive this program is and how many excellent candidates there are. Making it to the wait-list is encouraging for me to reapply for next year. I plan to take some online course to boost my GPA and also plan to gain more experience as a volunteer. I have learned a lot on this forum. Just want to say thank you to everyone for being supportive to each other! Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!
  4. Me too! I procrastinated my work and had such a bad temper last week. I have decided only check my rosi or SGS once a day this week. Hopefully I can get more of my work done and calm down a little bit. Good luck to everyone!
  5. Thank you! What you said was really helpful. Thanks. I am so stressed out!
  6. Nothing for me either, cannot concentrate on my work. Luckily I have a toddler at home, playing with him helped to relieve the stress.
  7. Encouraged by a friend, I emailed Angela(U of T) yesterday to update my resume, she replied me today and said my new information will be added to my application. Do you guys think it means that they are still reviewing our applications? Otherwise she simply would have told me that the decisions were already made. What do you think?
  8. I heard from York as early as February. I guess I just didn't meet their minimum requirement.
  9. Has anyone heard from University of Windsor?(2-year M.S.W.) Thanks!
  10. I already have a master's degree from China, do they look at your average of the final year in university or graduate school? Or do they look at both? Does any one know about it? Thanks!
  11. Same here! I hate the uncertainty. I am an immigrant. I have a toddler at home and I live with my in-laws. They and my husband are supportive for my application this year, but if I fail, I don't know if they can be of help and supportive if I want to try another year! It's quite complicated. My chances of getting in any of the schools are slim since I got rejected by York as early as January, but still I wish I can know all the decisions early. Even if they are all bad ones.
  12. I applied for 2 year MSW at Windsor, my status online hasn't changed. Still waiting!
  13. I got the email confirmation and my student number, I can login and see my status. Maybe you can write an email to them to ask for it?
  14. Me too, I am also thinking about what else I could do, should I do something else or try another year if this year doesn't work.... I don't have much volunteer experience, if I get more this year, maybe I can try next year. Good luck with your application!
  15. Thank you aleksp, I received a letter from York, saying that I do not meet their requirements. I checked my online status after, it showed"unsuccessful".
  16. Hi, I got a rejection letter from York's two-year MSW program. I also applied for Uof T and U of Windsor for the two-year MSW, fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone!
  17. I just finished my U of T application! Fingers crossed. I am not confident about my application though as I don't have much experience related to social work. But I did my readings and research, I did my best while raising a baby and doing house chores. I am an immigrant by the way. I know U of T said they welcome people from a diverse background, I don't know if this will give me advantage or not. Good luck everyone!
