  1. I got rejected from Vanderbilt yesterday. That's the only one of the seven programs that I've applied to. It was my "why not try" school so I'm not too surprised. Here's hoping we hear back from some others soon!
  2. Got my rejection letter today via the website. Oh well! Hopefully I'll get good news from one of the other schools. Best of luck everyone!
  3. Who has applied for PhD programs in Education Policy? Where have you applied? Have you heard back? I'll start: Applied: University of Pennsylvania, University of Georgia, Vanderbilt, Rutgers University, University of Washington, University of Pittsburgh I haven't heard anything. I am assuming that UPenn and Vanderbilt are rejections, as invitations to interview have already went out.

  11. I know that Peabody traditionally sends out interview invites around this time. Anyone heard anything? I am freaking out a bit.
  12. I am applying for PhD's in Education Policy as well as to Harvard's EdLd program. Many of the schools I am applying to mentioned that they are looking for diverse applicants. I know that this is usually referring to socioeconomic factors. However, one of the webinars I attended mentioned that they looked forward to seeing applicants from underrepresented U.S. states. Have any of you seen or heard similar things? I am just sitting here getting anxious and holding on to a shred of hope that coming from rural Idaho will give me a tiny edge up.
  13. Did you guys see that they extended the application deadline to Jan. 2? I am very curious about this. Did they not get enough competitive applicants? http://www.gse.upenn.edu/admissions_financial/deadlines
  14. I totally agree! Now it is just the waiting game!
  15. I have a Master's in Special Education. It wasn't too expensive, but I went to a state school. I am applying to PhD's in Ed Policy at Vanderbilt, UofWashington, Rutgers, UPenn, UPitt, and Univ of Georgia! I'm excited for everyone to hear!
  16. I am also applying for the Ed.L.D. 2015! So nervous! It looks like a dream program! I heard the same regarding 500 apps and 25 admitted. My husband helped me feel a bit more confident by telling me that's 1 in 20. Not so bad.
