  1. Hi, I have a few small questions: 1) Approximately what are the class sizes in introductory courses and in specific concentration / specialization courses? 2) How forthcoming are the alumini in terms of assisting for internships and jobs ?
  2. Thank you for your views David. What are your views on SIPA (Master of International Affairs) and how would you compare it vis-a-vis Fletcher (Master of Law and Diplomacy).
  3. Waiting for the scholarship.. i think the results will come out in March beginning.
  4. Hi, well for me, the rankings are pretty true! Well for Yale, I am not surprised at their ranking if you compare them with the course modules they offer, vis-a-vis the modules offered by the other colleges. On the other hand, am surprised to see Harvard in the IR rankings considering that it does not have a program in IR, well programs in MPA and MPP should not be counted as IR.
  5. Hello everyone I got into SIPA - MIA (Concentration - ‘International Security Policy’ & Specialization - ‘International Conflict Resolution’) and Fletcher MALD (Area of studies - International Negotiation & Conflict resolution - Human Security). Pursuant to my masters in conflict resolution, i wish to work with an I-NGO working in the field of conflict resolution. Deciding between these two schools, is really difficult for me, and i really look forward to your inputs. I have listed down my points for both why/why not the respective school: Why SIPA - The brand! The location! The Concentration and specialization are hands on and have a practical component as well!. Why not SIPA - The compulsory courses in management, economics and finance are something which i am not particularly interested in. Why Fletcher - Focus on law (as knowledge of international law is imperative to become a successful international civil servant), the course structure allows me to really focus in my intended areas of specialization. I have interacted with a Tufts alumini and read extensively that the Fletcher culture is extremely close knit. Why not Fletcher - a) No course available which includes a field work component. It is extremely well known in the United States, how well known is it in the same sector in Africa or Middle East? I really look forward to everyone's inputs.
  6. Hi guys, Congratulations on your acceptance from Fletcher and other schools. I got accepted in SIPA (MIA) and Fletcher (MALD) early application. I have also applied to Elliott, Jackson, SAIS, SFS and The Graduate School (Geneva). However, SIPA and Fletcher are my two top choices and hence the nervous decision making times are here. I would really appreciate your views on this.
  7. Masters for now, but defn a M.Phil if not a Phd in the future.
  8. Hello everyone Selecting a grad school is never the easy and right now i have poised at a juncture, where i require your assistance: I got into SIPA - MIA (Concentration - ‘International Security Policy’ & Specialization - ‘International Conflict Resolution’) and Fletcher MALD (Area of studies - International Negotiation & Conflict resolution - Human Security). My existing educational and professional background has been in economics, human rights and of working in conflict areas on aid effectiveness, human rights, gender etc. In my masters, i want to build on that experience and gain expertise in international affairs and of understanding conflicts and finding ways to mitigate them, especially focusing on negotiations. Why SIPA - The brand! PS: I have also applied to SAIS, GW, GT, Yale and Graduate Institute, but SIPA and Fletcher are my first two preferences.
