Hello, I was wondering if there are nice luxury apartment good for buying or renting near wharton. It would be good if it is 1BR or studio It really doesn't matter but i am looking for a home to stay for 4 years so, i want it to be good. coming from a city where index of living is probably the highest, I don't really mind the high cost since i am sort of paying high cost for bad room anyway now. I dont drive so i dont need a parking lot but this limits to places very close to the campus Any comments would be helpful! Thank you!

Stanford, hands down. berkeley is good yes. but stanford is sort of different level when it comes down to EE and CS.

why would you subtract cornell and ucb? ??? just give it a try!

i agree with what he said. you should have applied to some "safety" or at least 50/50 schools. phds are generally harder for international students to get into.

i also applied to some stat phd programs. although majority of programs i appleid to are comp sci. where did you apply?

do you guys have any idea how many people do universities usually interview??? it could be very rough. its just that i hav eno idea regarding this. i dunno if they interview top 5% or top 20%. just any insight into it will be hlepful.

compared to other schools, larger portion of mit comp sci phds are actually FROM mit undergrad. i think that could mean recommendation has high weight for MIT. i also applied to mit comp sci, but i dont really expect to get in... i know 4 comp sci phds there personally and they all have awesome backgrounds...

So i am just wondering about how many people university interviews? top 20 %? 30%? and ideas?
