Just an update. It seems that NYU is sending out MAY notification. So I guess PHD acceptance has all been sent out.

Thay may offer tuition waiver (this is what ingot for Chicago master). Don't lost hope!

I totally understand! I used to be a business major and later switched. It was tough, but hang in there. Things will finally work out! You are doing something you really like and that's the point!

Okay, I am not very positive about waitlist. I think most people on the waitlist will not get in. So here is the thing, say the school admits 20 people and plan to have a cohort of 7, then they will only admit WL people once 14 of admitted students turn down the offer... So the odd is so dim...

Stanford rejected and Michigan WL… what a day

i feel like even if some people turn down offer, the school may not open space to WL people... Is there anything I can do?

I don't have any new acceptance, anxiously waiting for Michigan (I guess I've been rejected by stanford and harvard already)... For Duke, i guess they must give all students lots of money (i have to say i'm jealous haha). I think you probably should go to the visit day. Usually, you can set appointments with POIs during visit days and most profs should be available during those two days, so you can then get a sense of him/her as a "person" lol Btw, I think big names are generally busier and thus more "non-responsive" lololol
