I am doing phd in BME, how about u?

Hi everyone, I will be starting my studies in biomedical engineering this fall! I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a good neighborhood to live in?

After months of waiting, I finally was accepted to several graduate school for biomedical engineering. I am really happy about the results. Once the graduate school starts I will do rotation to find an interesting lab. However, I am scared. I fear that I won't be able to find an area of research that will spark a passion in me. Don't get me wrong, I love learning. But there is just too many areas of research I can choose from. I don't to make a bad decision and be bound for 5+ years doing something I don't like. Is anyone feeling the same way? Or how did you decide what area of research/lab you wanted to get into?

Does anyone know if Boston University provides you with travel expenses if you get accepted into the Phd program?

My BU letter also said that more info about open house was coming later. I really hope that there is no conflict

Same here, but I got a rejection from MIT afterwards. Oh well, it was a long shot anyways

Did you apply to biological engineering? If so, I didn't see any notification on the webpage

Thanks for the encouraging words. I am on the same boat; my stats are not something extraordinary and I haven't had amazing research experience. However, the fact that I apply to some prestigious school makes me worry! There is so many talented people out there. Damn, I miss undergrad; it was so easy to get into the program you like .
