  1. I've been using Uncalendars since sophomore year of undergrad! I used the small size for 3 years and between scheduling for classes, research and some clubs, it was perfect. For graduate school, I purchased the larger version, for scheduling/notes for TA'ing, running the lab, etc. I love that there aren't dates already filled in, so you can start using it whenever. It's a little overwhelming when you start, simply because there's so many boxes and I had no idea how to organize everything. But one or two weeks in, and you'll be fine! http://www.uncalendar.com/index.jsp
  2. I believe Denver's funding is around 22k - 24k a year. Not sure where that 45k is coming from.
  3. I stressed out about this detail for a bit, but decided that being too formal was better than being under dressed. I've interviewed in two places and both times, I wore a blazer and dress pants with a nicer (from Ann Taylor) silk-ish tank top underneath. I think you could also maybe wear a silk-like blouse and pants, and forgo the blazer if you don't want to be too hot. Remember, you'll be indoors, where there's air-conditioning, so I wouldn't be too worried about the weather outside. For all non-interview events, I just wore more casual dress pants (slimmer in the leg) and a thin, dressier sweater. I also brought a light cardigan with me in case so I could switch from blazer to cardigan if I wanted to. I decided not to bring a purse with me to my actual interviews, but just brought a nice portfolio that I put my CV (just in case) and notebook/pens in.
  4. All Social programs: UC Irvine: 1/25 - 1/27 U Denver: 2/05 - 2/07 U Pittsburgh: (I'm 95% certain) 2/19 - 2/21
  5. I've heard back from 5 schools but if I remember correctly, these five had the earliest "due dates" for their applications, so that may be why.
