  1. I know how it feels. When I almost lost hope for gradschool, and had planned out what I was about to do instead, I was referred to the MA program in Chicago. It was ecstatic. Just have some faith!
  2. Same here! Are you going? Please PM me if you're going to the open house.
  3. I'm referred to CIR at Chicago. I'm so happy because it's the only place I get in this cycle.
  4. Columbia sent out a lot of late rejections last year, and I saw many applicants complaining, so I guess people are just procrastinating over there. Anyway, I don't hold out hope for Columbia.
  5. Well, I applied 10 programs that are in the top 30. I was realistic about my chance before talking to my professors, but they were really motivating and suggested me to apply for "fancy" schools, and I did. Now, I only have MNU, Cornell and Georgetown left on my list. Oh well, I learned a lot from you guys and the forum, so I think if I don't get in anywhere, I'll reapply next year, since I'm sincerely committed to this goal. Good luck to you!
  6. I applied for MNU too, and I really hope to hear from it, since I haven't been admitted by any school so far. I'm an IR applicant, with the major GPA of 3.85, overall 3.9. I got 650 on verbal and 800 in quantative. I tried my best to work on my statement of purpose and LORs at that time, even though I see them sorta weak now. Also, I'm an international student with US degree. It is an idiosyncratic process, and I cross my fingers for you.
  7. Some people said that they were rejected by Columbia on the result page, but it seems that nobody claims rejection here. Well, I guess I shouldn't trust that page then.
  8. I haven't heard anything from gradschool yet, and I can totally see my hope is getting dimmer and dimmer. I might go to DC for an internship this summer if I don’t get in any school. I hope I can secure my job there; otherwise, I’ll be kicked out of the US, because I’m an international student going to school here. Oh well, I guess I feel sad because I’ve planned my future based on the assumption that I can get in some program; if I cannot, the whole picture changes. You know what, I kinda admire the people who were cursing on the result board, because I want to transform my sadness into anger to make myself feel better, LOL!
  9. I got the rejection letter from Stanford, allas.
