  1. Are GRE scores a part of the application? I heard that they used to be but I can't find that requirement on the website.
  2. I am surprised that I haven't heard for Australia yet... In most previous years they had heard by this point.
  3. I'm pretty sure it's on the fulbright website... Check this out. http://us.fulbrightonline.org/current-fulbrighters/grant-terms-and-conditions
  4. Awesome! Well... if you don't mind, please let me know if they hear something and I don't.
  5. Is anyone else waiting on Australia? Because I'm hopeful for this coming week! According to the spreadsheet, March 26 (today!) is the earliest date Australia applicants have been notified, and in most years it was within a week of that. Also, thank goodness for my basketball bracket! Something to refresh besides my email.
  6. Thank you both! This is incredibly helpful. Congrats on getting an interview, Rosy, and good luck!
  7. Yes we shall! I had my mock interview today. It was incredibly helpful, and I would encourage you to set one up as well. My professors' questions helped me think about the points of my application that I hope to highlight, as well as things I should prepare to explain. They also told me things about Skype etiquette that I had never heard... just little things like look right into the camera, prepare a short introduction, wear a good headset, etc. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck!
  8. Which country are you applying to? Is it skype or telephone? I am preparing with Skype practice, mock interview, and reading up some more on my application. I didn't anticipate this either... but I think we will be prepared. After all, the application process was SO extensive that we must all be fairly familiar with our applications by now.
  9. Thank you! That is slightly terrifying but I'm really just glad to hear from anyone who knows anything about Australian interviews. I will prepare accordingly. Thanks!
  10. Well, I have to interview after all. (I'm recommended for research grant to Australia.) So now instead of gleefully lurking and rejoicing in my relative lack of stress for the next few months, I get to join the crew of y'all who are preparing. I had it coming I guess. Skype with landline as a backup. They said it should take about 20 min. I'll go back and read what everyone said about phone interviews. Any tips for a Skype interview? I'm going to try to arrange to do it in an office at my school, partly because I don't have a landline. Also... I'm slightly perturbed, since I understand that Australia doesn't usually do interviews... any thoughts? Other than I had it coming? Thanks!
  11. Thank goodness! Thanks for posting! :-)
  12. That's awesome! What type of grant did you apply for?
  13. Still not sure if I will have to interview for Australia... I'm guessing it's less likely since there is no foreign language?
  14. I second this question! I got recommended for a study/research grant to Australia. Does anyone know if I will have to interview? Thanks! Glad to have found this forum.
