  1. I just heard back. Unfortunately I just heard back from NYU and I didn't get it. I'm not too shocked. It wasn't my first choice nor my only but it would've been nice to have options because now it's just one program ( and I won't be hearing from them anytime soon. Oh well, on to the next.
  2. I'm in the same boat! I applied to NYU steinhardt clinical nutrition program and have yet to hear from them. My application status is and has been "submitted" since actual submission. I'm not sure if there are any applicants who got rejected but I did come across one person on twitter who got accepted and said that she heard back from them a few weeks ago! I know that their admissions are on "rolling basis" and that they notify via email. What should one assume here?
  3. So I tried to refrain from creating a topic but the dead silence has gotten to me. *crickets* Anyone applied/heard back, what about previous applicants?
  4. Not a word from them so far. Someone said that they called admissions and results should be out "soon"
  5. What kangjang said! The wait is over, congrats
  6. Awww! Congrats Kangjang19 and QueenNee22 really happy for you guys! And queen don't give up you never really know, positive thinking
  7. I hear you Floatingmolecule! that is exactly what I have been saying to family/friends throughout this entire application process more like ordeal. Life is on pause! and I can't imagine and I hope none us go through having it on pause just to get rejected and start all over again. But till then living on distractions, venting on this site and living on my mail app is the survival mode.
  8. Hang in there! It's been dead silence from my program..or no one that's applying is using this website who knows. Either way crazy is an understatement right now! Good luck to us all! May this torture end well.
  9. I know what you mean you guys. I woke up in the middle of the night to check my phone. Even had a dream lol. Also I just read on Twitter that NYU will be sending out their admission decisions in waves today. Not sure if that applies for graduate admissions as well...Anyone heard a word?
  10. Good god! I hope for the life of me that all this "waiting" is worth it. I only applied to two programs..one I know for sure is a rejection because of a missing assessment that is still being carried out. They contacted me mid feb asking for it and said for my application to be considered theyll need the assessment. I emailed back saying if my app could be conditionally reviewed, as i am expecting the results of the assessment soon. I never heard back and I know for a fact they interview most applicants. I just wish they'd be more straightforward and reject me once the decision was made, because all this waiting is giving me false hope. The other is NYU and acceptance rate is 37%? lol I don't even know what to expect. I just don't want to be too hopeful or too downbeat. I'll stick to crazy.
  11. Congrats! I applied to NYU steinhardt ms in clinical nutrition. I wonder if decisions come out at the same time ?
  12. I applied to the masters of health science'- nutrition communication (option 1 with dietetic internship) program.
  13. Thank you for you replies! The minimum requirement for the program is an overall gpa of 3.00 so I know im safe in this regards. There isnt any extra requirememt for the scholarship, i just need to write a two page essay. Is this a norm? Ive never applied to scholarships before so im not aware of the standard requirements.
  14. I recieved an email saying "Your application has been reviewed for consideration and has been forwarded to the Program Admissions Committee for review" Is this an automated email that everyone gets? I dont want to get my hopes up thinking its somewhat good news when it is just standard procedure.
  15. I intended to apply to 6 program but ended up applying to 2 only. Because of the nature of the programs I was aiming at (combined masters and dietetic internship) With delay in reviving my transcripts from my previous school and I had to do many accreditation assessments, reality hit hard when I figured I could apply to only 2 for fall session. So yes, same boat different float. I tend to get every now and then panics when I realize its just two programs, one that I still have to figure it's financial matters out and the other is hanging by thread because of a possible finale assessment delay which could cost consideration of my application. It's risky but Im a firm believer of what is done is done and nothing can change that. Currently surviving on wishful thinking! good luck to all.
  16. I appiled for the masters in nutrition and dietetics - clinical nutrition at NYU. I am a Canadian student and have an overall gpa of 3.49 and GRE scores are not required. Should I bother applying for a scholarship with my low gpa? What is the average criteria?
