  1. You will hear back, but what NYU does is wait until they have everyone who is already admitted's decision on whether or not they are going to go there to send out more acceptances.
  2. They told me 2-4 months in an email and I heard back within a week. Everything overall took about 6 weeks.
  3. I'm not a male, but I just got that letter on 3/30. It was tough to swallow, but since I was accepted to two other great schools, I am at peace with it.
  4. Did you apply to the Shady Grove campus then? Just wondering... Because it's been over two months now for me!
  5. Hey everyone! I applied to UMaryland - Baltimore back in January and have yet to hear a decision, but was told by admissions I would hear this week. Anybody else waiting or accepted already? Anyone planning on attending? Did you receive your admissions decisions letter via snail mail or email? Thanks y'all and good luck!
  6. It took them about 7 weeks to tell me anything after the application has been forwarded thing... and they just put me on pending status. So I've been being drug along for two months now seeing if I'll get a definitive answer yet... Still nothing. May not be until July is what I was told.
  7. Thanks! Yeah, Tuition is a killer! but NYU is actually pretty generous with scholarships so it makes it just about the same amount as other schools. I just was hoping to head back to the west coast, as I spent a year and a half in LA doing City Year AmeriCorps program and I miss it so much! NYU will be awesome, but I'm hoping I'll hear from the other 3 with a definitive yes or no, before I make a final decision.
  8. It won't let me see the group new MSW student group. Is it private? How were you able to join? :/
  9. I'll look up that group, or do you have the link to make it easier? ...and yes we should make our own if there is not one! I'm trying to see if I hear back from the other schools I have applied to, but will ultimately make my decision by sometime in April. As of now, NYU is my only option (but is also my first choice school)... I think I will end up at NYU, just want to see if I get scholarships/aid at any of the three other schools I have applied to, since debt is one of the scariest things for me since I am in debt already from out-of- state undergrad at Purdue. I don't live in CT, those are my intials. I live in Michigan, and I need out of the midwest again (spent an City Year AmeriCorps year in LA)... It's such a bummer in this place.
  10. Oops. That stinks! The one I found for 2017 was a bunch of people who joined over a year ago :/
  11. I'm pending status. Someone told me they wait to get decisions from those admitted before sending out more decisions. I could have to wait until July to hear a definite yes or no from them, which I really can't, but this was my top choice school.
  12. Thanks! Hoping to hear back sooner than later! I just got that email on Thursday that said 2-4 months and I about had a heart attack, because I can't wait 4 months! O_o
  13. Congrats kurkz! When did you apply to USC if you don't mind me asking and do you remember when you received the email that your application was awaiting faculty review? I am hoping and praying I hear back soon!
  14. izzyb - I wouldn't start to worry yet (easier said than done as I was so anxious), but I applied in the very beginning of December and just heard back on Wednesday. I'm not sure of their formula for which applications they view first, etc, but many people who applied after me were starting to get accepted and it is nerve-wracking, but dont give up hope!!! "No news is good news" is the theory everyone keeps sharing with me. Good luck!!! And Thanks Riemann!!!
  15. I was accepted to NYU 2-Year program last night! I'll let you know when I hear about scholarships when I get that email. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!! I know the anxiety it causes.
  16. Hey all, I started looking at these forums a few weeks ago and just got time to post! Last week I got an email that I was put on "pending" status at CSULB! Hoping to get some good news from any of the schools soon! Anyone heard from NYU? What did/does your application/the albert system look like or say? It's been about 8 weeks for me (and the say the aim for 4-8 weeks)... just wondering! This thread is awesome! I look forward to sharing the ups and downs with you all over the next few months!
