It seems like there are not a lot of criminology/criminal justice students on this website in contrast to other disciplines

I really don't know why but it's really frustrating waiting! It's even more frustrating when you are trying to decide among schools and your still waiting on a decision, yet they want you to make a decision before April 15th so they can get to the waitlist.

Is anybody claiming UMSL? I saw some acceptances/rejections in the Results section. It seems like nobody really applies there (I wonder why)

Yeah I'm pretty skeptical about programs that either offer little funding or a lot of TAships. Pretty useless! Lol

I was also excepted to FSU. It seems as if they accept a large number of applicants but only fund a small amount-which sucks!

Hi all, I have recently been accepted to a university which was one of the top choices but looking on their website I noticed that in the past year there was a cohort of just three people. I am wondering if this is a good or bad thing? Ex: Good: the program is really selective v Bad: The school may not be able to fund that many students. Any thoughts....? Thanks!

I got a voicemail from Irvine this afternoon, saying I got in!

I personally have zero research experience which I often feel pretty guilty about but my GPA is good, I worked on my SOP for months, and I had excellent recommendations. In phd applications I definitely find the admins committee really look at fit as opposed to GPA/GRE scores.

Hey all! Glad to see this thread in action again! I applied to seven schools: Temple Univ, Rutgers, USF, FSU, Univ of Florida, UMSL, and UC Irvine. I was accepted to Temple and Rutgers Univ. I was also invited to UC Irvine for an interview. Hopefully it's worth it, I'm coming all the way from New York lol :-(
