No and I really want to hear from them already! My app status online says "pending interview." But I'm not even counting on that implying that I'm guaranteed to be invited for an interview...

I just got accepted to UPenn!!!! They said they would call, but they sent me an email telling me to check the status on my app, and there was an acceptance letter there.

I had an interview with UPenn on 1/26, same exact thing - they said I would hear within two weeks, and I was being strongly recommended for admission. Still no call! Although it won't be 2 weeks until Monday.

I asked NYU for more time because they said it would take 4-6 weeks to process my app, and then they accepted me 10 days after I applied- they wanted me to make a decision within 4 weeks of that date, but because they hadn't followed their own timeline, I wouldn't have time to hear back from other schools. They responded in a day, automatically added another 4 weeks to my decision-making window, and said to let them know if I want even more time. During my interview with UPenn, I asked how long they give you to decide (anticipating more schedule conflicts). My interviewer said there is actually a legal code that all schools MUST give you until April 15 to decide so it is fair across the board - they might not be upfront about this, but she recommended I ask for more time from any school that does not automatically abide by this. Which is super helpful to know. I think you should ask, just send a nice and professional email.

Has anyone heard from Smith, UW Seattle early decision, or Hunter College (for an interview) ?

I got into NYU - I applied on January 4 and they told me it would take 4-6 weeks to process. Then they sent me an acceptance email 10 days later. I was very surprised, I wasn't expecting to hear back from any programs so quickly. I'm not sure what the albert system looked like, because after I applied and before I was accepted, they sent me an email with a new "Net ID" to monitor my app. Honestly I wasn't checking anything because I was traveling outside of the country, happened to connect to wifi at a hostel and see the email. You might be able to contact someone there if it's nearing the end of the window they gave you? Good luck!

I had my Upenn Skype interview on Monday, and it went really well! I was interviewed by an alum who now works in admissions and teaches an elective course in the MSW program. It felt like a pretty typical interview - she asked me to elaborate and provide more of a narrative about my work experience and why I'm interested in the field. Pretty laid back, lasted an hour. She also provided me with a lot of information about the program etc. At the end of the interview, she told me that she is giving me a strong recommendation for admission - now she gives her notes to the faculty and they are supposed to let me know within two weeks. Does anyone know if Smith College ever notifies people earlier than they claim? I've received several "your app is complete" emails, and today they finally said it is being reviewed and I will be notified in 4-8 weeks. Their process feels really slow compared to other schools' timelines, and I've also had some schools respond quicker than they initially tell me they will. Haha not really important, I just want to know! 8 weeks feels so far away. Also, my UPenn interview went really well, if anyone has questions about what it was like, let me know! Has anyone been invited for an interview with Hunter College yet?
