Anyone has idea about Georgetown? Their admission is quite random this year.
I wonder if each concentration have their own schedule on it, or they have already sent out their results. Should I e-mail them and ask about their timetable or plan......?
Boston is attacked by the horrible winter storm. I guess there might be delay, and I've just heard from a MIT friend yesterday that their department shutdown only because the city MBTA is closed and no staff can make it to the campus without public transportation on Monday and Tuesday...
Don't feel stressed off.
Got an invitation of open house from UC Davis, while the reult page is down.
Anyone have idea about this open house thing from Davis? I guess I'm somehow on the shortlist (hope I am not over-optimistic but I really feel relieved and soooo glad).
Rejection letter arrived from McGill.... as I assumed.
The e-mail said there are 148 people competing for 6 places in the program.
Congrats to those who got into the shortlist/interview/admission!
Same here.
They started reviewing all applications way before. I sent them questions through that question window in the left side besides the checklist in December. And the person in charge told me they started reviewing all materials once you had submitted your application (regardless of the completeness of your checklist). So I am assuming they are just holding the final acknowledgement of rejection to all other applicants. The status, just ignore it (my opinion).
I am counting McGill as lost (even I wish it's not the case...
The result page suddenly have a lot of Georgetown admitted.....
My heart is beating like.... I even had a dream about email and Georgetown last night, totally being ghosted with these results.
I'm wondering about the concentration of the program though. The grad admissions told me the size is extremely small, maybe less than 5.
Hi! Also waiting on Georgetown.
I kind of searched on the result page for history records, and it seems the computational concentration always get the fastest result while the Sociolinguistics branch is a bit late. Just for your reference.
They are just holding open house for the admitted one? The result page shows "accepted".
btw, does anyone have any idea about the UIUC(Urbana Champaign of IL) Ling department?
Checked the history but it seems that they did not send out interviews/open house invitations.
Thanks a lot.
I've checked the result search, it seems that Georgetown never did any interviews in histroy.
Still waiting for U Toronto and UIUC, hopefully I can get at least an interview. >_<
I'm new here. Haven't heard anything from any institution, and boston is blocked for the scary blizzard.
Should I send out some e-mails to ask if they are sending out interviews or not? Still feel it does not help at all...
