  1. Thanks for the response, tuckbro! It seems like some people were notified the 10th and 11th, and I know someone who heard back yesterday, so it seems like the acceptances may be trickling out, but I was just wondering if they were done trickling out or if notifications might still be coming out next week.
  2. Does anyone know if all the JHU acceptances have gone out yet?
  3. Hey, I'm not sure if they're still waiting, but Pitt has already had its interview weekend (Feb 26-28) and has already sent out acceptances. I went to the interview and was accepted last week, but I do not think I will be accepting my spot as I don't think my research interests matched that well. They may still be waiting out to see if they will need to accept anyone off the waitlist, but I would still have hope! JHU also already two interview weekends, but is also likely holding onto applications to see if they need to accept others they didn't initially interview. This is just my theory, though, so don't take my word as fact. Hopefully this helps.
  4. I emailed the program director and she emailed me back with a somewhat passive-aggressive email.
  5. Anybody have any awkward experiences cancelling interviews? I just cancelled one in March because I've been accepted to some of my top programs and it was kind of like a bad breakup. I thought they would be pretty understanding, especially since they're a lower ranked school and this is probably not the first time it's happened, but they were pretty upset.
  6. Thanks for the responses and the feedback! I really appreciate it!
  7. Question for everyone: How are you guys handling missing classes and work due to campus visits and traveling? I have four campus visits scheduled for this semester so far and, as a result, I'm going to be missing mandatory labs, exams, quizzes, etc., which really stresses me out. Obviously, arrangements can be made with professors, but I feel burdensome when every other week I would be asking for some sort of extension, exemption, or rescheduling. I also just feel bad that I'm missing so much class and am afraid I'll fall behind in some of the material. What do you guys think, especially those who have tons of interviews scheduled? Have most of your professors been receptive or not very accommodating? Is this what the last semester of undergrad is supposed to be like - a logistical nightmare? Should I even care this much at this point haha? I'd appreciate whatever feedback you guys can give! Thanks!
  8. If you applied to the BEE department, they don't do interviews - they just straight out accept/reject and all of the rejections have already been sent out. Not sure about the BME department, but I'm pretty sure they don't interview either. If the BME dept does do interviews, it seems they haven't been sent out yet.
  9. Thanks again, disasterprone. Very helpful information!
  10. Thanks, disasterprone! Yes, I would imagine it has something to do with location (I'm on the east coast) or perhaps which subfield you indicated you were interested in within the BME application. Those are some pretty high post-interview acceptance rates for Stanford and UCB/UCSF. Do you know of anything for places like Hopkins? Thanks!
  11. Undergrad: Top 10 Engineering School Major: Biological Engineering GPA: 3.76 GRE: Q: 170, V: 157, W: 4.0 Research Interests: Tissue Engineering, Stem Cell Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, Biomaterials Schools: Hopkins, Penn, Columbia, Pitt, UCB/UCSF, GaTech, Michigan, Northwestern, UCLA, Rutgers, Brown, Maryland Interviews: Hopkins, Pitt, Maryland I was wondering if you guys knew anything about how likely it is that acceptances are offered to student who receive interviews. How much does it vary school to school, etc? Also, to disasterprone, where did you find out the dates for Hopkins' interview? I got invited, but my email did not mention dates and only said I would be contacted by faculty to schedule a time. So it is somewhat unclear as to whether they are talking about an on-campus interview or something else like over the phone or via Skype. Thanks!
