Hi all! I'm creating this thread for two purposes. First, since we are getting closer and closer to making final decisions, I thought it would be nice to create a thread for applicants to share where they will be in Fall 2015. Second, I thought it might be helpful for wait-listed applicants to have a space where accepted applicants can note if and when they decline offers. Best wishes to all!

I have a quick thought: I know many people here are anxiously waiting for news concerning positions on waitlists. Is it permissible, perhaps, to start a separate thread for accepted applicants to note when they have declined offers? I'm new to the forum, so I apologize if this already exists somewhere... Of course, just a thought. Thanks!

Best of luck! It's definitely my top choice, too. What are your areas of research? As for me, 19th & 20th Continental; Social & Political; History of Phil. Let's hope we both get off the waitlist! I do wonder how many "alternates" there are as well...

Best of luck to you! By gleaning results from previous years, I think we will most likely hear back next Thursday or Friday, but, of course, it's anyone's guess.

Congratulations to all of the wonderful & incredibly exciting acceptances! I'm currently waiting to receive news from University of Toronto's English Department; anyone else waiting to hear back from them? I suspect they will send out their acceptances late next week... Best wishes to all!

Thank you for creating this thread! I'm currently an alternate at Vanderbilt, and I really do hope to attend. To my mind, Vanderbilt does not rank their wait-listed applicants; rather, in the case of a declined offer, the admissions committee selects from the alternate list in order to ensure a balanced cohort in terms of philosophical interest. Sending my best wishes to all wait-listed applicants and, of course, to everyone waiting to hear back from schools!
