Has anyone heard from Oklahoma University off late? I mailed my POI as well as the graduate assistant about 7 days back and haven't heard back. Given that they have been extremely quick in response, I wonder why none of the two replied. Also, has MIT ERL/EAPS made offers?

In my opinion, FIT is the key. Everything else will take you to the door but if you are not fit, you won't make the cut. No matter if you are a 340 on GRE.

No one considers 163 in Q as low (at least no one should) unless you are applying in top 5, for maths program. Read your own stats mail, it says 151 in Q which is quite low. In fact fromchaos also thought you quoted them the other way round. A 163Q and 151V is decent and not low. A 163V and 151Q however is low for science and engineering.

Good! Finally one selection. I know a friend (not in geosciences but in chemical engg) who was admitted without funding for the first semester, but it has been a smooth ride since then. I have one week less now, to wait out! I just hope I don't get all my rejections on the same day

And I am hoping the other way round for me.
