if that's the case, I would just contact your program manager to check. someone's letter last year was sent to a wrong address and they waited for a month before they called iie and had to get the decision on the phone...

but some countries have been waiting on FSB approval for weeks now....makes me wonder if it's actually a more extensive process :s

I remember last year someone said the applications are already ranked when they're sent out in January and this information certainly reinforces that. seems like they expect the committees to pretty much follow prearranged order.

I'm sorry you had that experience! I must say my regional manager (for Europe-Rachel Holskin) has been quite incredible and patient with me. I can't imagine how many calls/emails she must be getting everyday this time of year but she's always very pleasant! Don't worry about it, I'm sure it was nothing personal and given how many applicants there are, I doubt the regional manager even remembers it! Just hang in there and hope for good news

Two people from my school got the Fulbright to Brazil last year. They found out early, right after spring break, on 3/16! So you might be hearing back in a matter of weeks!!

did you email rachel holskin? have you contacted her again?

oh wow, sure keeps us on our toes then! i hope they spread that leftover money to other countries in the same year then....rather than rolling it to the next year for China.

I had friends who heard back as early as 3/16 last year(Brazil) and some not until late in April. Seems like the German folks might hear back earlier than some. Good luck to everyone!
