Simple registration would work by imposing a small but potentially effective deterrent cost on those posting false results. Just witness how the PSJR was almost decimated by the now abolished registration system.

Is there any possibility we will hear back from Cornell next week or the week after that? Did Ms. Slater really mean it when she said we wouldn't hear from them until early March? That's three weeks from now.... Oh my.

Oh my dear SP, I hope you'll break into Yale and maintain your unbelievable record. On an unrelated note, not that I'm bitter or whatever, but what is up with Northwestern's selectivity? I saw many people who got in (or at least waitlisted by) clearly more highly ranked programs like NYU, UCSD, Wisconsin-Madison, OSU, Chicago were rejected by Northwestern. Well, maybe I'm just plain wrong. End vent.

I got from the website a generic admission letter from the Grad School. No funding details available. And yes, from the Department's website I don't think their funding will be in any way close to being generous.

Got in UVA. No words on funding yet. Obviously I cannot go without funding.
