If anyone else is waiting for Comp Lit at Harvard, I talked to the DGS today. She said the committee just needs to wait for one more admitted student to decline, then they'll reach the spot where they can start pulling from the waitlist! I'm so excited

Nope, very logical for us comparists. Not a stretch at all. I'm getting off the waitlist in the next week or so! We all are!

Thank you everyone for the encouragement. I'm hoping for the best I phoned Cornell to ask, I never got an email. For Yale, I got an email this morning to check the website.

Katla, I just heard the final words this morning, including Yale. It turns out I didn't get accepted anywhere except a few unfunded MAs, which I cannot afford. I'm hoping for a miracle that the Harvard waitlist would work out, but otherwise it looks like moving on to different dreams for me.

Just heard from Johns Hopkins... This is getting worse and worse, initially positive news and then a slew of rejections. Still waiting for my first accept.

Looks like after yesterday's tumultuous flurry of activity, today is a no-decision day... Hmm.

I was rejected from PhD and was recommended to MAPH too... I believe that might be an unfunded MA...

I applied for Comp Lit, and funny enough, just received my rejection email a few minutes ago. Best of luck to other applicants. That's UChicago, Princeton, and Columbia turned down for me. Still waiting.... it's gonna be an exciting week.

Just got the Princeton rejection. Generic email. Pretty much saw it coming. Still patiently waiting...

On a different note, the results page says somebody got into Princeton?? Show yourself explain the good news! I'm waiting to hear from there as well. Not a single word from Chicago! Am waiting anxiously as well.

Welcome to the group! I don't think anyone's heard from Stanford either, but unfortunately Harvard accepts and waitlists have been released over the past week

I don't know if this is just paranoid me being paranoid, but I have a feeling the reason my Cornell rejection hasn't arrived yet is because my last name begins with one of the last letters of the alphabet. Oh well, still waiting I guess... Should I give them a call tomorrow?

Quite a few people received Cornell rejections today I haven't received anything from Cornell yet, and I wonder if that means good news or worse.

Molloy, all I can say is in this northern winter right now, California doesn't sound so bad eh? Hmmm... and their Comp Lit program there is excellent. My university just hired two new Comp Lit professors and they're BOTH Berkeley grads, isn't that a funny coincidence? None of the potential candidates came from Havard, if I remember correctly

Hi guys! New here, and I'm glad I stumbled upon this site. I'm anxiously waiting for results too. I got rejected from Columbia last week and still waiting to hear from Chicago, Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Princeton. I heard that someone else already got into Yale? Lucky them! I wonder if that means every other Yale-hopeful is already screwed in that regard.
