On page 59 of the orientation handbook: 9. During recesses or normal vacation periods, the grantee may leave the host country for a period of approximately two weeks without deduction in grant benefits if such absence is approved by the Cultural Affairs Officer or other appropriate officer of the Post, and by the host institution. Grantees may not leave the host country for other periods, without prior approval of IIE.

I found out yesterday that I'm going to Trinidad and Tobago!
