In the past they've released decisions around April 1st

I saw someone posted on the results page that they got waitlisted at Boulder. I'm going to guess at best that's what happened with me. I havent gotten any new decisions in 3 weeks.

I haven't heard anything from CU-Boulder either. We're definitely not applying to the same POI since mine is a woman lol. I also haven't seen anything geosciences posted in the results.

Has anyone been officially rejected from stanford EESS yet? I didn't get an interview so I don't know what they're waiting for.

I think Berkeley might do more than one round of admits. I know someone who didn't get in until April a few years ago.

My first decision was a rejection too but I eventually got into one of my top choices! I'm sure you'll get in somewhere great

Thank you! I'm pretty sure I applied as Environmental Chemistry (I didn't know if the tracks were actually important, so I just picked the one that sounded the most relevant). I'm still convinced I'm going to get an email tomorrow saying they switched lists around and I didn't actually get in. My POI hasn't responded to my email yet requesting an earlier visit.

I haven't heard anything from Boulder either. My POI was not too receptive to my initial emails though (said I could apply but had a lot of other interested students), so I'm not expecting much.

I applied to mostly geosciences programs, but got into MIT Civil and Environmental Engineering today!! Did anyone else get in? The visiting weekend is super late. I'm the only acceptance on the results page besides that one from a couple weeks ago so I have no clue if they've sent out batches yet. I don't think I'd be a top applicant though so I don't know why they'd admit me early.

I'm fairly sure they're not allowed to require a decision before April 15th...

I don't think that means much of anything. Decisions are due by April 15th anyway. Sorry. I hope you get in!

Glacial biogeochemistry? I didn't know that was a field. That's awesome.

I saw on the results page that a lot of people got "geology" rejections between 1:00 this morning and now. Do you think that's only GES or also includes EESS?

I'm in 2 of the "standard" intro geology classes and they're kind of the bane of my existence right now. I'm more into environmental geochemistry/biogeochemical cycling.

Thoughts, anyone?

Thanks for letting me know, C_def. It seemed like a nice fit and my POI was great, so I'd be happy to go there as long as rankings won't affect my future career prospects too much.

^^Unfortunately, I didn't have great contact with POI at Stanford (already didn't interview) and applied to big names at Penn State (already sent out first round) and CU. I liked Delaware though and its a great research fit for me, so thankfully I have a good choice already anyway (even though its ranking isn't great).
