  1. I know several international students that are on fullbright scholarship.
  2. I'm down to the wire...still working on my pros and cons list.
  3. I haven't heard about anyone on this forum that was accepted to the program.
  4. ASU is not full ride. FASFA determines scholarship amount awarded.
  5. This is my sense. Unless you are a contemporary art prodigy with a golden path laid to success or are comfortable with a lifetime of debt, go with the school that is offering a full ride. It's important to be mindful of finances. Administration at a school is giving me a headache with funding, and if this is how they are treating me before I've accepted, imagine if I was in the program.
  6. Misleading letter about funding and TA positions for first years. A lot of he said/she said about funding opportunities and potential work-study. It's like they want you to be broke.
  7. Members, if I have learned anything from my first year of applying: FILL OUT FASFA, FOLLOW UP, FOLLW UP, FOLLOW UP. I had a misleading letter of acceptance and now I am embroiled in a dispute with administration. Sigh...
  8. I want to ask how you all were approached about funding, TA positions and stipends? Some of you have received AMAZING offers. I'm hearing crickets...
  9. Graphic design has very practical applications, depending on how you want to approach the medium. Go with the school with the best funding and work your but off to make a great portfolio. Graphic design jobs are a dime a dozen in the bay area, you should find work after you graduate if you are talented and hardworking. I have friends that work for small firms and corporate.
  10. I wasn't shocked by the acceptances, more so the enthusiasm to have me as a grad (You like me? You really like me???). Makes me feel good, but it really comes down to affordability.
  11. Seems like a lot of people were denied by UCLA this year.
  12. They sent me an email to check the portal. DENIED.
