  1. I just got back from my visit from Tuscon and visiting the campus a couple days ago. The faculty and staff were extremely friendly and it seemed like a really great environment to go to grad school. They had several clinic rooms within the building with an adult section on one floor and a children's clinic on the bottom floor. Each room had a connecting observation room and was equipped with a video camera. They also mentioned that they have a system that seems to work really well for them by having second year grad students help transition their clients to first year grad students as a mentor like system. The head of clinical practicums was very nice and spoke about all of the available practicum sites in the area and there is definitely great medical settings to choose from. The program goes through one summer and that is the only time a student can do an out-of-area (not Tucson) practicum as the last semester still requires students to take one class on the Tuscon campus. I would really recommend anyone who was accepted to visit to see if they like the area, it was a little dry and "stucco" one story buildings outside of the campus area. The campus had a more urban vibe as streets are throughout the campus and it did not feel like the campus was isolated in its own little area. I talked to the admissions director and she said they only give out 2 waivers and/or graduate assistantships so they are pretty hard to get it seems. I did not receive an email from the department offering any funding so I am assuming I did not get any. As it is $14,000 a semester for out of state I dont think I will be attending the program. If anyone has anymore questions regarding the area or the department that I may have forgotten to mention please let me know! Sorry if this is too much unwanted information just thought I would put it out there Congrats to everyone on their grad school or post BA plans!
  2. I have yet to hear anything. If we haven't heard anything by next week I will make sure to ask them about it and get an estimate of when we should know if we are getting any financial waivers/help/TA positions! (When I visit the department next week)
  3. Pretty sure mine is for the 2 year I hope! My BA is for Speech and Hearing so I am just assuming haha
  4. Got into UW! I very most likely won't go there so there will be a spot open for the wait list! Still waiting for the last 3 WA schools I applied to.
  5. I am also visiting the campus for my Spring Break so I will have some more info then!
  6. Definitely would need to get an out-of-state tuition waiver and/or graduate assistantship in order to go there! If I read it correctly grad school tuition is about $14k a semesterrr for non-resident and $5,800 a semester for resident, $3,200 a semester for grad assistant. That helps me a lot in deciding whether or not to go there so hopefully it helps you a little too!
  7. I got accepted in UA yesterday also for the MA SLP program. I would like to hear more about it and see if people like the area/program so I would love some insight as well!
  8. I was accepted into University of Arizona yesterday and I am super excited but don't know if I want to go there for sure. Does anyone know more about the living area there or heard from people who liked/didn't like the program? I'm in Washington now and it would be so much easier to go to WSU but UA is such a high ranked school! I need help!
