  1. Thank you!! I personally think Nat Geo was more difficult... mainly because there are more components to the application. I did propose to work in Sweden again as well as Norway and Finland this time. Congratulations!!! That's amazing! I have looked into the NGYE grant and definitely want to apply. I was going to apply for it around the same time I did Fulbright, but I figured I would wait and see how the Fulbright-Nat Geo one worked out first. Who knows! Exciting stuff for sure! Nice! What are you proposing to do/what countries are you hoping to work in?
  2. I applied last year, too! Glad I'm not alone. I was an alternate to Sweden for the 2015-2016 cycle. This year, for whatever insane reason, I decided to apply for the Fulbright-National Geographic Fellowship instead of the academic/research. My fingers are crossed hoping they'll send out notifications this Friday. Although I did read somewhere on here that Nat Geo and Clinton applicants get a letter the same day saying they have to wait another month to find out... Not too thrilled about that idea.
  3. Thank you, RosyPosy68, Photogeographic, taiwantroubadour, & Chris1! I also just wanted to say thank you to everyone on here! I truly appreciate this little forum community. From the notification news and encouragement to the memes and jokes, I love how incredibly supportive you've been. Best of luck to everyone, and I'll be sure to send an update if I hear any more news!
  4. I'm an Alternate to Sweden. Pretty disappointed. The waiting continues I guess...
  5. Hi, everyone! First-time poster here - thought I would finally stop lurking and say hello. I'm impatiently waiting to hear about my study/research grant to Sweden. Hopefully this is the week I can join those who have stopped refreshing their emails. Fingers crossed for all of us who are still waiting to hear, and congratulations to everyone who has received good news so far!
