Waitlisted at dal

I know, I kinda had a breakdown when I found out, too... I mean there MAY be a shred of hope, as they told me that although all the 56 acceptances went out, plus preliminary waitlists, admissions are not completely finalized till May-ish. But I mean, being logical... we probably won't get in now.. Really sucks, because I got waitlisted last year with quite a lower GPA and other stats, with a course in progress- and this year my app was much more competitive.. I guess it was just a super competitive year..

Yup. Emailed them today and they basically told me everyone's been contacted via email so if you haven't heard by now, I guess time to forget UA..

I really hope they're not done...

Ahh ok.. the wait is killing me! I was waitlisted last year and have since greatly strengthened my application.. but have yet to hear from them this year. Crossing my fingers...

hi guys, long-time lurker here, finally posting because i'm confused! I applied to U of A this year, and this afternoon I emailed them and asked if they're done with their acceptance letters. She told me, and I quote: "We are still in the process of contacting successful applicants. Once we have our quota we will begin contacting students on the waiting list." So I'm confused that people got waitlisted today... kinda strange, seeing as how I was told that they're not doing that yet.
