I think he meant there's a list of people who got admitted and there's a secondary list of people who are basically wait listed and if enough people decline then they get in.

Duan Tran said there are two possible reasons for not hearing anything by this point: First, your name may be on a secondary list, in which case, you may get an email later on in the month inviting you for an interview. Second, due to the high volume of applicants, your application was not competitive enough to warrant an interview. So in two weeks people will be hearing from CSUF again getting interviews and basically if you haven't heard anything by then....

That's so funny I went to CSUCI for my first two years then had to move home for financial reasons and I just finished my Bachelors at CSUSB and also applied to their MSW program. It's more competitive then people realize. They only accept about thirty people into that program and they said students would know end of march until April/May. Have you heard anything from them yet?

Yeah the "check your status" was geared more towards people with "to do's" or something missing. Today was informative though and the lady told us that they will send out all their yes acceptance letters first, whoever declines then those leftover spots will go to the maybes and the no's are the last to be informed

Eeeekk! Well I was reading the agenda for their Grad Fair day tomorrow and from 10:30 - 12:30 it says "check your admission status" in a specific room

Tran never got back to me today so it's more waiting! Is anyone going to the grad student day tomorrow?

Oh my gawdddd the anxiety I will have if it takes that long! But thank you for the reassurance!

I emailed Duan Tran (admissions) yesterday basically saying I know a ton of people have heard and just wondering when I should expect to hear and he said he was away from his desk but he was going to email me today letting me know "where I am in their standings" For those of you anxiously waiting like myself, maybe try giving them a call or email! It can't hurt
