Thanks a lot for your response. This will be of great help. One more question in this regard. Since you said, commute to UBC is long, what mode of communication will be good? I plan to not own a car to save some money, and also donot want to spend too much time in commuting. Will biking be a good option? Given bearable rains. Also staying in campus can be other option. But it seems that they have a long waiting time. Any idea to check on the waiting list, before actually applying for it?

Is it true that while holding Canada study visa (the one that international graduate students hold), it may be difficult to have US intern visa? Is there any prohibitive factor here? Hi, I have received an offer of ~19k with full tuition waiver. I am planning to stay at a studio at thunderbird. I dont own a car, so planning to bike as a mode of transport. Is that affordable? Also as someone pointed, the waiting period is long. Any idea regarding how long I might need to wait for an studio at thunderbird. In case I donot get a studio then what are all other options? I heard that it rains a lot in Vancouver. Then would it be possible to bike from a little faraway places? Any help is highly appreciated.
