  1. Thanks for sharing jspresnell. I read your profile and we are in the same boat. I have been accepted to Syracuse and now we are waiting to see if Cornell will pan out for my boyfriend. I trying to get as much information as I can.
  2. Who has been interviewed then accepted, rejected, waitlisted, or has heard nothing. Please share your thoughts!
  3. I think this is a good start! Just want you to know that your first sentence is dangerous. As a recent graduate from the master's in Library and Information Science program, this argument is naive. Library and INformation Science is a combination of information technology, management, computer science and other fields. In your transitions, it sounds as if you are preaching to the committee about librarians. I would try to write more about your experiences and why it has motivated you to apply to graduate school.
  4. I'm sorry to hear that. Hang in there.
  5. is done with the process and is going to Pittsburgh :)

  6. I did my undergraduate degree in at Madison. It is extremely competitive to enter their masters programs whichever area you apply to. I am not sure how your gpa translates to a from a ten point scale to a 4.0 scale. You also have to understand that you are also competing against other international and local students because of the economy many more people are applying which means a longer wait time on top of the fact that you are in Bengal (very far). I would check in the results section to see whether these schools have offered acceptances/rejections and gauge where you stand from there. You are bound to hear back regardless of how long it takes so you do not have get worried as of yet considering you only got one reply! I agree with the posts above me in that you should call and ask. Since you are long distance it prob. would be the best way to know. The least they can say is that you have to wait for it in the mail. Start calling from the bottom of your list. http://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=electrical+engineering&t=a&pp=25 This page should help you. I saw that someone was rejected from UCSD in EE via email. I am not sure what this means for you, but I know it would give me some piece of mind knowing that I did not receive a rejection. Good luck and have some faith in yourself (that can take you a long way).
  7. OHH CONGRATULATIONS!! I have been anxiously waiting for my letter in the mail. I saw in the results section that people have been receiving mail. I just want to know so I can decide now. Can you tell me your location/area so I can maybe try to conjecture when I will be receiving something?
  8. WooHOO congrats!!! I have been contemplating on whether I should go to University of Arizona or Pittsburgh. I
  9. I was accepted to Pittsburgh today!
  10. Congratulations!!!! :)
  11. Thank You In4mation I applied to be on campus. I am really looking forward to visiting. I am worried about the heat but it just gives me another reason to wear cute sundresses. I see that you too have been accepted to Arizona. Online or residential? Do you plan on attending? I am waiting on a few more schools before I can decid but Arizona is looking like it will be the winner. Last question (I promise) have you lived in Tucson or are currently there?
  12. I got accepted into Arizona today!
  13. Thanks for much for the advice. They have a copy of my transcript, they just wanted one from a summer class I took at a college near my home. In that case, I'm not sure if it will make or break anything as it was one intro math class and I did fairly ok (. I'm extremely nervous!!!!! I want this madness to end!
  14. "Will burn letter when I get home" Ditto.
  15. I know bigger state schools have the funding to bring students in for a visit. I was talking with Washington the other and the admissions counselor did mention flying in two students from New York last year. They ultimately ended up at Washington so for them it was a win-win. I'm not sure what the etiquette is in asking a school to visit them once you have been admitted.
