Hey guys! I just checked my status on the UTD galaxy portal this morning, and it said that I got denied . Sort of was expecting it but glad that I finally know for sure now. Just wanted to let you guys know if anyone was still waiting to hear!

Congrats on everyone for their acceptances! I just got an email from Baylor University this morning and I got accepted with some scholarship! I am still waiting to hear back from UTD and UCF I think that I won't make the cut for UTD because they received my official transcript three days ago ...

Hey So what happened was that I forgot to send my official transcript, so I ended up sending it two days ago.... I really hope that it gets to them soon. My galaxy portal just says that I need to submit my official transcript. My stats should be listed below my posts too Yea I've been checking every day It's really stressful because I realize that for spring 2014 and 2013, the rejected applicants got their notifications later than the accepted ones. I feel like if you don't hear from UTD by October, there is a high chance you are rejected... ? Or maybe I'm being paranoid

Hi all! I applied to three schools for spring 2016 --> UTD, Baylor University, and University of Central Florida. I am finishing my bachelors this fall, so I thought I might as well apply for spring! I was just wondering if anyone knows if these schools will do interviews and when? I have been looking through the SLP forum but I couldn't find anything... I am actually attending and have lived in NY all my life so this whole process of applying to schools so far away is a bit exciting as well! Thanks, and good luck to everyone!

Thank you everyone for all your advice! I definitely need to go over what I really want from graduate school, and find students who are currently in the programs. It's also really assuring to know that rankings shouldn't be the determining factor of my decision for attending a school. I guess what's important is to see if I get accepted to these programs first, before I make any decisions! Thanks again!

I am going to finish my undergrad in CSD this fall semester and have been preparing to apply for spring semester for the graduate programs at the University of Central Florida, Baylor University, and University of Texas - Dallas. There is not a lot of graduate schools that do spring admissions and I feel like maybe I should hold my applications until fall because there will be more options of schools available. I guess basically I'm worried about attending UCF or Baylor because of their rankings as compared to many other SLP graduate programs such as University of Florida or University of Texas Austin. UTD has a great SLP program, which I am well aware of, so I am not too worried about that, but I have been reading blogs and comments online about UCF and Baylor that are making me really ambivalent about applying there. I am from New York and have no idea about Texas or Florida schools. Should I just wait until next fall? Or should I not care about rankings and get my masters earlier?
