  1. I don't know both universities, but if you look at different rankings, I think that Cornell is better than University of Michigan (at Ann Harbor ?) in overall reputation. This is an opinion only based on rankings (somewhat controversial). To choose well, you need to find the program where you think you will fit the best, the place where you'd rather be for 1 or 2 years, and financial consideration (such as funding) can also influence your decision. And you should also decide if you'd prefer a MS or a Meng...
  2. @ fuzzylogician : thank you for your advice. I contacted them and they were very kind. Thanks. They contacted me via e-mail. I'm specializing in Project Management. Profile : International student with good gre. GPA is difficult to evaluate.
  3. yep even for international applicants, I asked a friend.
  4. I applied for the project Management program. However, between Berkeley and Stanford, I'm still not sure what my choice would be. I like what both universities offer. I guess my choice will be made depending on my admits... @ Espoir, keep faith !
  5. First acceptance from UCB in the results today. The next 2 weeks will be kind of stressful, I feel it.
  6. Are you applying for a PhD ? I was admitted at UIUC in their Master program.
  7. Okay, forget my question. I just saw 2 results from Stanford today. Anyway, what did you apply to ? Care to share your profile, what you want to do and if you already have some admits ?
  8. Hi everybody, I applied for a MS in Civil Engineering this year (International student). I chose 3 universities, among which Stanford University and UCB. I already got accepted to my 3rd university but I was just wondering : has any of you heard about Stanford or Berkeley ? It seems that they had like 30% more applicants and with the crisis, I don't know if they will take more or less applicants this year. I understand that international PhD applicants will have difficulties, but what about master applicants ?
  9. Hi everybody, I'm relieved because I got my first admit today (in Civil engineering at UIUC), however I see new problems coming. I only applied to top universities. This admit is my first result (a very tempting one) and I have to accept or refuse it by march, 21st. However, I'm not sure I will have all my results for the other universities by that date. What should I do ? Note : no funding for UIUC.
