  1. I actually haven't gotten an email yet, though. Only seen it on the portal. Anyone else?
  2. Yes, in a separate letter on the same decisions documents page. Links at the bottom of the page.
  3. Check your spam/promotions/etc. folders in your email. That's where mine went. I thought all decisions went out at once, but I could be wrong.
  4. It's up. Admitted, no mention of funding. Also, Open House on the same day as Duke's, which I've already bought a plane ticket for :/
  5. At least now I feel like I'm actually going to eventually see a decision, haha.
  6. Anyone else get an email from an alum?
  7. I emailed asking about if my application would be considered for the priority deadline and they said not to expect an answer for 2 weeks. Weird because my application was completed that same day as @jeb!2016
  8. If I am accepted, I may turn it down for Berkeley GSPP, since it's a very prestigious program and I am in-state. It will come down to funding and school visits though.
  9. Nope! Feel honored
  10. When did they complete yours? I will email them
  11. Ugh, just realized their site says decisions are released 6-8 weeks after the application is completed. Means I probably won't get one until April. That means I'm definitely turning them down.
  12. Hey quietman, I'm also interested in education policy and all I can give you is my own perspective. I truly think the lack of quant background is the problem. I was admitted to Berkeley (not HKS though, did not apply to WWS). While I don't think a 155 quant score or no formal econ schooling can preclude you individually, they can probably together. All the top programs are highly quantitative schools. I scores a 155Q on my first GRE, and studied for a few months and got a 162Q. I also took a micro and macro econ class online (Berkeley and UCLA extension, respectively) and got A's in them. I think those are the things that truly made me competitive. I would definitely recommend to take some classes and retake the GRE and reapply next year. Don't give the adcom any reason to reject you.
  13. I feel like I'm never going to hear back from them.. but I've decided it's probably because they didn't complete my application until 2/22. They were waiting for a transcript for a class I'm still enrolled in and I didn't realize they were waiting for it.
  14. Rejected. Not even worried about it. Berkeley has been looking pretty great! Congrats to those who got in!
  15. I haven't seen a topic about Harris yet. I think most of the people in this forum are IR people, and Chicago is more social/domestic from my understanding. Maybe that's why! Anyone else anticipating Friday's decisions?
  16. No, I saw someone earlier in the thread say they were out of state. However, looking through last year's post they sent out acceptances without funding or small funding first, then the big ones, then rejections, and finally wait lists.
  17. At this point, I have more enticing offers so unless they offer some crazy funding, I'll probably turn them down anyways. But still, it would be nice to know....
  18. Just got accepted!! No funding though, although I am in-state. In case you have Gmail- my email actually went to the Promotions folder first!
  19. Chicago Harris just sent out an email with the subject "Chicago Harris Notification Updates" and I almost had a heart attack. But it ended up just being essentially "Stop calling our office, we're releasing decisions on Friday."
  20. Since I can't concentrate at work anyways, here's the dates they started releasing decisions from past years. 2015- Evening, Friday March 6. Trickling notification until about the 13th. 2014- Thursday, March 6 2013- Friday, March 1 Given this information, I'm not sure if I should expect it now because it's still early March, or at the end of the week because they tend to start releasing Thursdays and Fridays.
  21. Who all is going to the admitted students day?
  22. Decisions just went out! Admitted with 18k fellowship + 4k assistantship
  23. Welp, this is starting to look like I haven't heard because I'm not getting in haha
  24. Surprised not to see a thread for McCourt yet. Last year it seems they started admitting in early February and then everyone's was available by 3/4 (a Wednesday, for what it's worth). It seems most people found out via their application portal, not by email. I saw a few posts here and there this year about being admitted starting this week. Has anyone heard back already?
  25. Also waiting. Who knows when it will come out
