Hey all, I was just informed by my graduate advisor that my assignment for the fall is likely going to be in my school's Public Policy Research Lab. My field has absolutely nothing to do with survey research and my concerns voiced to him fell on deaf ears so I'm just trying to figure out if there's anything I can do or if I'm just stuck with a pointless assignment that won't be of any use to me.

Does anyone else find it utterly moronic that American's admissions committee hasn't even convened yet and its already after the deadline? So glad I wasted the money to send my GRE and apply.

Fully funded offer at UGA Still haven't heard anything at all from American. I emailed the Grad Director and he told me that they still hadn't even made admissions decisions.

Does anyone have any idea when I can expect to hear back from American? I'm an American Politics PhD applicant, if that helps.

Got my unofficial acceptances to LSU and UGA after speaking to the GDs, so that's exciting. Still waiting to hear back from Georgetown and American and have only got a funding offer from one school, so I'm more anxious now than ever.

I'm a Baton Rouge native and have been at LSU for my undergrad so if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!

I'll most likely be heading to USC in the fall. I'm really not too into socializing so I don't care about bars or anything, but I would prefer to rent a small house with a yard for my German Shepherd to play in.

What's your field? I've only seen a few people post acceptances randomly and I don't think any were Americanists

Just seems odd to me that the deadline would be Dec. 15 and it would take them over two months to make decisions. I heard back from both UNT and USC within a week of their deadlines.

American
