How on earth does it take Georgetown this long to make decisions?
-
I'm doing the same
-
I'm still waiting to hear ANYTHING from Georgetown. I've seen a few people claim acceptance calls but none in American so I'm wondering what the holdup was when the deadline was two months ago lol.
-
Does anyone know how American informs acceptances?
-
I'd like to know this, myself
-
UNT and they offered me a 10k stipend with no tuition waiver based on a 20 hr/week TAship
-
I applied for a scholarship that gives $1,000 and counts me as a resident but I don't know if I've gotten it yet. Even if I did, I don't think I'll accept the offer, it's really poor.
-
They just told me it doesn't include a tuition waiver so that's a pretty bad offer
-
Man I just got a really bad funding offer at the school I really wanted to go to
-
It felt rather devoid of info to me. I definitely tried to call but of course everyone is on lunch.

"You can expect to receive funding worth at least $10,560 for the regular academic year (distributed over the fall 2016 and spring 2017 semesters). You will be required to work 20 hours per week and maintain full-time enrollment (9 credit hours per semester). Continuation of your appointment for spring 2017 is contingent upon satisfactory performance during the fall 2016 semester. This offer is depending upon the formal allocation of appropriate funds to the department in the university budgeting process, but at this time we do not anticipate a problem in this regard. I will advise you immediately in the unlikely event of budgetary problems that affect this offer. Students who are admitted into the doctoral program with funding generally continue to receive aid for five years, contingent upon the availability of funds and satisfactory progress in the program. Assuming the availability of funds and satisfactory progress, your assistantship will increase to at least $13,950 in your second year and $16,042 in your fourth year. Students in the program also have additional opportunities for funding during the summer and to travel to conferences." Basically I'm just kind of unsure of what exactly I was offered. Is that $10,560 a stipend? It says I'm required to work 20 hours but it didn't say I was offering a TAship or anything, so really I'm just a bit confused.

This is pretty much the same question I have and at this point I'm leaning strongly toward a yes. I'll take a great funding offer over a bad one from a better school, personally.

Happy Friday, guys! Hope everyone gets good news today
-
Stanford is really rolling out those rejections
-
I've gotten acceptances so far so that's a huge relief but still I mean I wish I could just hear back from Penn and Georgetown already just so I know.
-
9:30am and I'm already starting to check my email every 5 minutes
-
Very true but Georgetown is like my dream school, you know?
-
Those scores are still better than mine haha
-
Can anyone tell me how much stock Georgetown places on GRE scores? I feel that the fit would be great and that I have a very strong application overall with the exception of my GRE scores.
-
Just got an email from South Carolina and I was accepted!
-
*Smashing the refresh on the results page hoping to see anything good*

Following a rather quiet Monday. Got me stressing out haha
-
Yeah I'm still waiting to hear from them, too. Stressing the hell out over it haha
-
Man I definitely thought I'd hear back from at least one more program today lol
