@CalChi SLP Bummer, so sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed for you getting into Fresno. I found out this week I was accepted into TWU's leveling program so I think I am going to try to get some leveling classes under my belt so I can apply to more schools next time. From what I've read on these discussions, it's not a matter of if we will get in but a matter of when it will happen. Best of luck to you!

@speechie94 I did discuss my application with Dr. Stillman and he mentioned my GRE scores are a little low (296 total) and given that I'm coming out of field (although I am in the medical field) I figured those are the 2 things that hurt me.

@CalChi SLP I just checked my portal yesterday evening and it updated to denied so if you haven't check recently maybe check again. So glad I turned my application in early in July only to be stuck waiting until November to hear a "no". I'm very unimpressed with UTD's admission process.

@CalChi SLP @carr I finally bit the bullet and emailed Dr. Stillman again and he just responded. All he basically said is that I'm on an "informal" wait list. I think you guys are most likely too considering we all haven't heard a yes or no as of yet. He didn't give me any update as to when they would have final decisions made So I guess more waiting.....

No, I did not apply to any other schools. I am an "out of field applicant" so I need leveling courses for most other programs. I live in Dallas, which is why UTD is my #1 choice. I did also applied to TWU's prerequisite program as a back up, which I also have NOT heard back from either urrghhh These people really need to get it together. I really, really need to know ASAP because my husband is graduating from UTSW's PA program in December. He has a number of job offers, but the one he really likes would require us to move. Whether I get accepted to UTD or not will be a HUGE deciding factor for us. Soooo any day now PLEASSSEEEE????? What about you @CalChi SLP? Did you apply anywhere else?

Yea, I've seen previous posts where people are waiting well into November all to just get a no in the end. Not feeling so great about it

@CalChi SLP Yes, apparently he was supposed to be back in the office on Tuesday. I assume we are all waitlisted, which don't get me wrong I'm happy we didn't all just get a big fat no from the get go, but I really wish they would give us more information instead of letting us sit hear and wonder. I understand they can't offer more spots until they've heard from the others already offered, but geez people. It's really inconvenient to just leave us hanging. And then especially to just get a no in the end of things. Hopefully that is not the case for us 3.

@lsugirl Did you ever get a final word yesterday from UTD?

What school did you get into? And what a relief to know you already have another offer. I do agree its pretty jnconsiderate to have us wait so long for an answer. Especially considering we both turned our applications in so far in advance.

@CalChi SLP I did contact him last week and he responded by saying he would get back to me once he was back in the office this week. @lsugirl Oh good to know. So by Friday maybe? Hopefully good news to all of us
