I am kinda in thee reverse situation. All my family is on the west coast but most of my school's aren't. Thank goodness for Skype @PersonPeople FYI this is a biology thread. You would probably have better luck in a different forum. Good luck!

It was definitely... different... It was weird having to separate everything up by leadership, teamwork, etc... Hopefully it was okay that I used the same broad experience multiple times, but highlighted different aspects for the different criteria...

I'm really hoping this is true for most programs. However, I have heard that it definitely isn't true for Cold Spring Harbor - that they invite a lot more people than they extend acceptances to. Does anyone have any more information on their acceptance to invite ratios, etc.? Thanks

Thank you! It sounds like your daughter's doing very well too, so my congrats to her . I am going to attend as many as I can. 2 are at the same school, so I am trying to combine them (also flying straight from another school to this interview). Basically have almost every weekend in Jan & Feb booked. Unfortunately, means a lot of traveling (I'm on the West coast and only 1 of my interviews is...) and a lot of missed class. My school has a January term (1 class, 2 1/2 hrs a day, 4 days a week) and I am going to miss 9/16 days, so am kinda panicking. Going to see if I can maybe take pass/fail. Also going to miss about half of February, so hopefully I can work things out with my professors. One of the great things about coming from a really small school is that the whole school of science has been incredibly supportive of me, so I am hoping we can figure something out.

Me too! I come from a small liberal arts school and don't have any publications, so I really had no idea how to gauge my application. So happy. Also, just heard from CSHL that I can attend the other weekend Plus, visit to the optometrist today to get new contacts, so great day

I honestly had no idea I would get this many invites. I was seriously panicking about not getting any!

I am having the exact same problem with CSHL. I know they have another weekend that I am free for, so I really hope they will let me attend it or I will be very sad
