So, I am trying to choose my 10-12 faculty for my UMich-PIBS interview and would like some advice. The instructions say that at least 5 of them have to be from my first choice track. I currently have 6 from this track, MCDB, but I am worried whether I should choose more from this track. One of the things I like about umbrella programs is that you get to try out different things, and there are multiple researchers outside of the track that really interest me, but I don't know if it is the track that is having the say in whether to offer me admission and therefore I should choose almost all my faculty picks from MCDB? I really appreciate any feedback! Thanks so much

congrats!

It didn't even ask for them. Did you log in with the right email?

I booked a flight w/o problems

I think my professors will definitely understand (at least the ones I have talked to), but I really don't want my GPA to drop. I am going to see what I am able to take pass/fail.

I am. But I am really worried about missing a ton of school....

Just remember how happy you were a couple of days ago! Don't let this take away from that.

Congrats!

You never know! And even if you don't get either, you still have really great options!

I am going on the 19th date

Phew. Just got it. Was starting to worry I had dreamt the call!

congrats @daniolabtest and @brainsandeggs. Yay @Bioenchilada

Thanks. I would definitely prefer to stay in a hotel, so I chose that option, but I don't want them to think I am snobby and/or antisocial. I just want to be well rested for my interviews and everything.

I haven't gotten my official letter yet... cue the anxiety

another weird question: If a school gives you a choice of staying with a current student or staying in a hotel, does it look better to the school if you choose to stay with a student?
-
Congrats. I emailed them about it and they did it manually for me, so it shouldn't be a problem.
-
Congrats!

Me too!!!! Didn't want to be the first person to post but since you broke the ice... Congrats!

Great. I live in California and have an interview in Connecticut followed by one in Wisconsin, so it would be really silly to have to stop over in California!
-
weird question: if you have two interviews that are back-to-back, can you ask one school to fly you to the other school instead of home or vice versa?

Stanford wants official (2 paper or 1 e-transcript). I sent an e-transcript.
-
Mine showed that way for a long time but then it changed, so if they show received I wouldn't worry about it. They probably want official in case people photoshop the uploaded ones

I'm sorry. I know how that feels but just remember all the great invites you've already been offered. I know its hard but...
-
Congrats!

What do you mean by this? I'm confused
