I don't know the answer, but I think if I could, I would. As a photographer, it would be easier than for me (a painter), or say a sculptor
But given the opportunity to have the actual piece with me, and not have to depend on the irregularites of the internet, and different monitors, etc, I would certainly do that.
one of the programs I applied to let me know that they would be reviewing applications in February, and decisions would be announced in late March. So... I am not holding my breath for replies, though I do hope that some of them arrive sooner than that...

I am not worried about being in Massachusetts, I am just focused on a good painting program that I can afford (preferably with a TA position and stipend)
I am applying to MFA programs for painting. Among them I have been looking at UMass
I have seen UMass Dartmouth talked about here a good bit, but I had always thought of UMass Amherst as the main campus.
What are people's thoughts on these two UMass campuses?
