A Madison acceptance was posted, but it looks like a troll (though we should expect UW early next week).

Ditto. Some programs have gone in the last week of January before, so next week will be particularly difficult to get through.

I did not reference any literature specifically. I don't think it's really necessary. It may only serve as a distraction. I did, of course, motivate my questions by "Previous research has looked at X, but . . ."
