Applied: MT - I/S stream Invited for Interview: There are no interviews for the MT program Accepted: n/a Waitlisted: n/a Rejected: n/a cumGPA: I think around 3.75?? subGPA: Around 3.91 give or take a 0.01 GRE scores: n/a Experience: hundreds of hours in an ESL class/academic resource class, private tutoring, a university registered tutor at my undergrad institution, volunteered at a daycare Perceived strength of statement of intent/interviews/references: strong (I believe). I worked tirelessly on my SOI, there is no interview component for this program specifically, and my references are strong (I tooked a graduate level class with the professor and got one of the only A's, my other reference is a teacher I've worked with at a high school for hte past 3 years) I have no idea if this is enough/what they are looking for though! I'm hoping to find out in the next few weeks - OISE is my goal school, and I truly feel it is the best place for me to continue to grow as an educator. I need a challenge, and I would love to do a program that is research-based alongside practicums!

I suppose it depends on what program you're applying for but for OISE's Master of Teaching (at U of T) they don't want additional updated resumes or transcripts!

I got accepted into Queens on the 12th! How about you? Any other news?

Has anyone applying to OISE (U of T's) Master of Teaching program heard anything? I'm so freaking out it's not even funny. Also on ROSI, where would it say "invited"? I check like 12 times a day because I'm so nervous/excited, but I don't even know where I should be looking! As a side note, my fingers are crossed for you all!!!!!!

No! I'm just so nervous about the other candidates. I know I've worked hard academically and thrown myself into volunteer work and tutoring, but maybe everyone else is more intelligent/has better grades/more experience. I have about 400+ hours of tutoring and volunteer work, much of which is ongoing. I'm horribly nervous about the whole thing.

I recently submitted my application to OISE (University of Toronto) for the MTT program (I know what the job market is like, but this is what I love doing). I have hundreds of hours of volunteer work at a local high school, great letters of reference (one from one of my teacher supervisors at the high school, one from a well-recognized professor), and an 86% average in my final year of school. My Major GPA is 3.91, my cumulative GPA is 3.75 Do I have a realistic chance of being accepted? My primary teachables are English and History, and I'm applying for the Intermediate/Senior stream. This is the career I've been working towards my whole life. I do private tutoring and no matter how tired I am, I become invigorated when I get the chance to help someone else learn. Ahhhhhh
