Hi all, just wanted to let you know I will probably be declining my offer from Buffalo in the next few days.  I'm not sure if they waitlist by field or not, but I can say I am pre-1800.  I know a friend of mine will probably decline soon as well.

Nah, if I had gotten into Chicago (was rejected D:), I would brag too. We are all super sensitive! I don't think I will get a call, as I am an international student and I applied through the IIE. Did you contact the professors beforehand? What's your area??? 

OMG there is a Penn acceptance. Anybody cares to claim it? The reaction in the search result was hilarious. 

To be honest, I don't think grad schools bother to change the status of the applications online. It is killing me that I have 15 to hear back from. I hope they can just flat out reject me or tell me where I stand in the game. I have been unproductive for a month and I feel sorry for myself. I feel that 1/2 of my February is wasted on staring at my inbox and watching Netflix to ease the pain. 

I applied to SUNY Buffalo for English but haven't heard a thing yet, and my application status still says "Initial review in progress" when I log in. I am also still hoping they aren't finished sending out acceptance/waitlist notifications, but I'd just like to hear one way or the other soon...currently waiting on about 4 implied rejections based on the results board. 

Nope, actually my Boulder acceptance was to Ethnic Studies, and I heard from them yesterday -- I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you though!!

It's a great conference! There's so many interesting panels & people are very welcoming and open in my experience. Plus, it's pretty chill (as far as conferences go). 
I've never been to Seattle, so I'm hoping to get some exploring in as well. Last year, the conference was in New Orleans, and that was a fabulous experience.

No, I never did. I have also received only a confirmation email that I successfully submitted my application. None of the programs I applied to have a portal site where you can check on the status of your application, so thankfully that's one fewer thing to compulsively check. I'm refreshing my email enough as it is.

Was everyone who was accepted/waitlisted/rejected from University of Pittsburgh in the Film Studies track? I applied for Cultural Studies and haven't heard anything. Mostly anticipating a rejection due to fit, but it is strange I have not heard anything.

I'm pretty much in the same boat with all of my apps.  Hang in there!  The long wait will end eventually
