Did they tell you you were waitlisted or did you solicit? I wrote to them a week ago but haven't received a reply so I'm wondering if I should just presume rejection at this point.

What do you say in soliciting emails? "Do you like me: circle yes / no" ? Really though, how do you phrase it?

Standard rejection from Rice just came through. I would have died in the Texas heat anyway...

I haven't - and I haven't seen any acceptances / waitlists either. My application portal is still saying 'applied'. I will be sure to update as soon as I hear anything!

Missouri seems to have pushed their non-fellowship application deadline to Feb 10 so it might be a while before we hear from them.

It's a mess. As soon as I hear something I'll be sure to provide the details so we can at least start building good data for this year.

How likely is it that we'll hear from UConn today? The stats seem so random over the past couple years.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, there's a chance they could do it in waves between now and the 4th. Although realistically, and taking into account the prediction, it'll probably be around end of Feb anyway!
