Does anyone know if the Duke wait list is out?

I'll be attending UNC's visit weekend! Booked my flight last night

POI said Vandy was coming out today......apparently

Has anyone gotten their official Vandy offer yet...? Like with money and, you know, tangible details?

Yeah it was 100% an acceptance, I emailed with the professor a few times last night. We're in.

I got the same kind of email, I spoke to one of the faculty and it seems like they had significantly more applicants than in the past / very qualified applicants. I think they want to offer very few admissions to have a more boutique-y graduate program rathern than a large program like some other schools. The feeling I got was: we really like you but let us focus on winning someone else over if there's no chance you're coming here.

Did anyone get an exact date for visit weekend in their Vandy emails? Hoping it doesn't conflict with UNC

Did anyone who had a Vandy interview get a timeline for decisions?

@ezra123 I'm American for Columbia and found out about the waitlist this morning

I was wait listed and my email indicated that there were 600 total applicants with a target class of 18 for this coming fall. I would say @Syas is correct

Hey Everyone! I was wondering if anyone had knowledge / advice about visitation weekends. What to wear? What to ask? What to look out for? I know a lot of us are going to have some pretty difficult choices to make so anything to help narrow it down would be helpful. Making a good impression wouldn't hurt either.

UNC is actually (I think) still sending out acceptances - apparently. This year they're doing a "wave" system and sending out batches of applicants. No idea if that is done or if it isn't but I have a strong feeling they're sending out more. I was in the first wave and I think @PizzaCat93 was part of the second.

Is Vanderbilt still doing interviews this year?

@elwright I focused really heavy on faculty research interests. I spent a lot of undergrad doing research that I plan on 'generally' pursuing for my PhD so I really honed in on those top 15 schools that had departments with a strong faculty in my area. I also didn't apply certain places I would hate living in (*cough* New Haven *cough*)
