  5. i havent heard about second rounds offers from munk yet. hopefully tomorrow!
  6. only MA! whatre you thinking of writing your dissertation on?
  7. you guys think mar 16 is judgement day or what lol?
  8. same here! what's your status at Munk? still say "under review?
  9. i've actually got a friend in msc if you want me to connect you two
  10. wow congratulations everyone! for those who got accepted, how come you were thinking of rejecting the munk offers? cost related or something else?
  11. has anyone contacted the program directors for munk, npsia, bsia for a status update on when decisions will be released?
  12. i believe mine is under review if i recall correctly.
  13. ok cool anyone hear back from npsia, bsia, or munk yet??
  14. ya that's what i've heard from a couple people. i'm guessing that you could find development banks pretty accessible because of munk. do you know if npsia offers any internship too?
  15. munk may be my #1 atm...i know it is a lot of money but there is a mandatory internship in the first summer which i believe is suppose to 'compensate' you for the tuition fees. i dont know if that is 100% its intended purpose but you can work all over the globe. i know the job placement is great for munk grads and the connections you make are really solid. what were you thinking of doing for a career/post-MA?
  16. i think munk is on the same playing field with npsia (and in my opinion, for my interests, ahead of uottawa [not that it isn't an amazing school]). i don't have a second language, although my hebrew is so-so (and something i want to work on in the coming years). munk offers an internship in the first summer and a possibility for exchange i believe in the second year which is pretty cool (again, i can't remember if balsillie or npsia offer exchange). also, munk is a member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA). the only other school in canada with that accreditation is npsia. fyi, other schools on that list include harvard, yale, columbia, etc. (pretty much all the elite schools worldwide) here's the link: http://www.apsia.org/member-schools/
  17. congrats man...same here, no word from munk, npsia, or balsillie! and ya those are some amazing volunteer experiences man
  18. that sounds pretty solid man. what type of volunteer experience do you have if you dont mind me asking?
  19. what's your area of specialty/research interest?
  20. nice nice, any particular IOs that interest you? think tanks stuff would be cool, federal govt/foreign affairs stuff too
  21. damn guys, i'm pretty nervous what're your career plans for after? anyone considering a phd or going down to the states? or something else
  22. ya sorry i meant acceptances any idea what the acceptance % is for npsia or munk?
  23. any idea when they usually start sending out references? and what are the odds of getting funding at npsia or munk btw?
  24. what are your ranks for the schools btw?
