  1. Wow congrats! Are they covering at least part of the tuition? It's a little confusing the way the letter worded it - actually mine is for "full enrollment fees". When I emailed them, they said the fellowship covers all fees associated with being a student. why can't they just say "tuition"? Are you planning to visit on 4/7?
  2. Hi all. I received the good news today! With funding (?) for the first year. "All Education Fees" = tuition?
  3. Yes natlowe! I'm very excited. I'd have to say that my top choices are UCLA and USC because I would really like to stay in LA. I also applied to GSPP and HKS, but my heart is in LA.
  4. Hi PolicyGuy. You're totally right, and I appreciate your feedback. Notification came via mail on 3/4 (despite the Admissions Office stating notification would be sent via email first). I did speak to them today, and they mentioned some are receiving emails first, then packets; or vice versa (as in my case). I'm very fortunate that they are offering me a full fellowship for the first year. As a LA native, I'm primarily looking at UCLA and USC (USC is offering 1/2 tuition - so UCLA wins in the funding department), but I also applied to GSPP and KSG. Where else did you apply? Good luck!
  5. Did anyone apply to UCLA's MPP program? I received their acceptance packet today, along with a fellowship. I've heard mixed reviews (mostly here) and was wondering if anyone is seriously considering attending? Thoughts?
  6. Hi natlowe. First of all, congrats! To be honest, I was confused about the notification process. Last week, I received a packet from the Admission Office re MPP - no mention of MPL (which had me worried at first). Then on Tuesday, I received a packet from SPPD with acceptance letters from both programs (MPP dated 2/25; MPL dated 3/1). The packet also included the Dean Merit award info (but no info on financial aid or loans). So hopefully you'll hear soon. Out of curiosity, did you apply to UCLA? Good luck!

  8. Same here. I received the SPPD packet on Tuesday admitting me into the joint degree program in public policy & urban planning, with a 18k Dean's Merit scholarship. I'm from LA, so I'll most likely make it to the 3/26 event. Did anyone else apply for the joint degree program?
