My funding package says $XY,000 "before taxes." Should I be subtracting the income tax only (that varies from state to state), or is there any other tax I should take into account (like a federal tax maybe)?
Sorry for my utter ignorance, international student here.

Has anyone claimed the Pittsburgh admit on the results page? There seems to be only one post, I am wondering if more will be coming.

Same here with Brown. No e-mails or website updates.
Should I be getting prepared for another rejection?

Heard from someone in Berkeley that the adcom has not yet made their final decisions at this point.
Speaking of it, does anyone know the list of faculty members in Berkeley's adcom this year?

Did I read correctly that someone was wait listed at UCI? Does that mean its safe to assume all those who haven't been admitted or wait listed, have been rejected? :/
I posted that status. I am not that hopeful though. I asked the coordinatior about the status of my test scores (that still appear as not received on the website) and was told that I am wait-listed. I am not sure what that means either. But, as far as the results page suggests, admisson off the wait-list is very uncommon.

source: report board
method: conditions first on week number in February (1-4), not week number in year 1-52), then on day of week (su-sa)
key: yyyy = year decision was posted, blue = yale, purple = northwestern
limitation: perhaps calendar week ought to have been used? or perhaps the exact dates? also, not double checked! but, if not too sloppy, then i think this does a good job at positioning the dates conditional on february, which could be good if departments are more likely to say internal reviews completed "no later than third friday of february" than "no later than 10th calendar week"
I heard from Northwestern that decisions will be out at the end of February or even the beginning of March.

I know I saw some UCLA acceptances - does anybody know if there's still a chance they will be sending out more acceptances?
I guess they are done with the first round of admissions, and will be sending new ones when some of the admitted students reject their offers. For that you may have to wait until more top schools start announcing admission results.
The same applies to me in the case of UC Irvine. It was a really really good fit. Fingers crossed.

I also haven't heard anytihng from UNC. But I think we should be focusing on the offers we already have, since I think the only thing we will hear after this point will be rejections (I would really love to be wrong about this).
