I would pick one method and stick to it-- I prefer bolding since it sticks out a lot more.
Bolding what you want to get across is super important-- my review 3's comment was essentially just restating what I bolded (which worked in my favor).

Anyone still waiting from Berkeley?

As a current undergrad, I'm not entirely sure how important the GRFP is. If you go to a top school (prestige) and already have full funding (some schools offer close to $34k), what does getting the GRFP really offer? Does it just mean you won't have to TA?

Reading through previous years' feedback, whether or not you get it seems to depend a lot on who reviews your application.

I emailed last week and they said they're still scheduling with professors to see what the best time would be.

Has anyone heard back about an alternate interview date at Columbia? It's been a while and they haven't given me a definite answer yet...

A professor I Skyped with said so in our email correspondence. He said a different professor would be in contact with me very soon (I hope with good news).

@jjjjjelly - I've exchanged a couple emails with Harvard profs this week and was told the admissions committee meets "soon," which is a horribly ambiguous word. Based on previous years, I'm guessing they're meeting this week or early next week. But one professor I interviewed with said I'm at the among the top of their admits list, so it sounds like the professors have a sense of who they'd like. (I'm hoping this translates into an acceptance for me?)

Just Skyped with a POI from UW-Seattle just now (wasn't the one that posted on the results page).
I'm guessing the invites for UW will be sent out sometime next week, as he e-mailed me the past weekend to talk either today or Saturday, 1/31.
