When I did my MA and it was close to the end, I definitely just did a lot of reading and note-taking in the morning, and I found that reading philosophy really inspired me to write it/work on my thesis. Then i set a goal for how long i was going to work for, and when i hit that mark (2 hours of writing per day, let's say), i stopped working and allowed myself to feel good about it. Treat it like a job you have to go to each day, and then put down at the end of the day.

or they will just figure that i'm dumb and send it to the current address instead of the 'permanent' one. in any case i emailed them so let's see how that goes.

I also checked my app and realized that i put my current address as good through May 2015, instead of 2016. >< hope that doesn't bite me in the ass later.

awesome!!! you got accepted int he call, right? if anybody else got calls/emails, can you let us know? i am only holding on to a thin strand of hope right now.

yeah it seems super early but if they sent out multiple interview requests... maybe start looking elsewhere.

The admissions blog says Fordham sent out notices about interviews yesterday-- did anybody just lisamadura get one? what kind of interview was it? curious and also deeply sad...

That's amazing! Also this is super early for Fordham to be sending anything out. I suspect that, like with Stony Brook, you got nominated for an extra fellowship and are being notified early. Congrats! Jaq, do you agree that it's super early for Fordham?

Has anybody else heard from stony brook? it's pretty early for them to have sent these two out and i'm wondering if you guys were special/got special funding or something, or if they just sent out all the acceptances already? i'm anxiously waiting. I was counting on them starting to send things out at the end of this week.
