  1. Mine too, although I won’t be presenting. I’m excited to hear some great papers!
  2. Any medievalists planning to go to the Medieval Congress at Kalamazoo this year?
  3. I’ve accepted UIUC after being offered a first year fellowship and TAship! I’m absolutely delighted! Good luck at Cornell!!
  4. Love it! So out of curiosity, where are people thinking they’ll go now out of the programs they’ve heard back from?
  5. That’s great news! I applied for the MA so good to hear that we’ll hopefully have news by the end of the month then! Glad you called up the DGS
  6. Great! Let me know what you hear from the DGS - I’d find it really hard to believe that they would wait til April to contact us like they said in that email. My guess is probably waitlist too but either way it would be nice to know, right?
  7. I also applied for the MA at Purdue and still no word for me either!
  8. Agreed, can someone repost the website link to check status updates for UPenn?
  9. Just heard back from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and was placed on their wait list. Has anyone else heard back from them?
  10. I agree! After I saw that people were posting acceptances, I started bracing myself for a rejection notice. I can’t believe they had so many applicants this year - 614 just seems excessive! I saw a few people posting about UMichigan yesterday too, so I’m preparing for another rejection notice potentially. The waiting game is THE worst part of the whole application process!
  11. Just heard back from UT-Austin today - yay for rejection letters?
  12. Thanks! I’m waiting for word also from UIUC. I’ve heard they take a really long time to get back to applicants though. I’ve also applied to IU, UPenn, UMich, and UT-Austin.
  13. Yay another medievalist!!!! I’m also applying this season, mainly looking to specialize with Middle English lit and Arthurian lit. So far, I’ve had one acceptance at WMU and two rejections from UW-Madison and Notre Dame. What other schools are you looking at?
  14. I was curious whether either of you know what the stipend amount is for the TA ships at UT Austin? I can’t find it anywhere on their website for the life of me!
