So I applied to several places, Already got accepted to a couple of places but I haven't heard anything from others (no interviews, no informal chats). is it always the case that schools interview candidates before accepting them? in other words, is the lack of an interview a clear indication of a rejection? (I am talking about UTAustin, WashU, Caltech and CMU). My applications are focused on Formal Verification and PL

are you guys sure it is over? there is only like 16 results on the survey page, I am sure they take like 100PhD Students a year or so right? Possible second round or should we assume rejection?
